AZURE

Some people become so accustomed to loneliness that they begin to mistake it for peace.

Kabita has built a life around staying away from people.

After experiencing losses that left her wary of attachment, she has slowly withdrawn into the quiet corners of her world. She prefers empty rooms to crowded conversations, silence to questions, and solitude to the possibility of having someone leave again.

Then comes Sarla, her new maid, who refuses to treat Kabita's silence as a wall.

Talkative, persistent and seemingly incapable of understanding the meaning of leave me alone, Sarla slowly begins to occupy the spaces Kabita has kept carefully empty. What starts as an unlikely companionship gradually becomes something neither woman quite expected—a friendship born not from grand gestures, but from everyday conversations, shared moments and the simple comfort of being seen.

As Kabita begins to let another person into her carefully guarded world, she is forced to confront something she has long tried to avoid:

Perhaps loneliness isn't always a choice. Sometimes, it is simply a wound we learn to live with.

Azure is a story about loneliness, unexpected friendship and the quiet hope of finding connection when you least expect it.
